It depends on what you are searching for.
if you need help understanding how to do something, then search for a tutorial on that topic. for example:
"asp.net database tutorial"
there are several discussion forums you can join. The more you are a member of and post to the more people that can see your question and respond. Your particular question may stump one group, but another may have several members that know the answer. Join all the ones that have ongoing discussions that interest you.
Yahoo also has some groups for .net programmers - these are good to join as well.
